PUTTING THE ‘HEART’ IN THE ARTS

become a volunteer

our mission

Interested in getting involved at Adaptive Arts? That is fabulous news!

We’re always looking to make community friends-volunteers who bring their unique life experiences and interests to help our students discover their artistic and human potential.

To get started, fill out the volunteer form on our website or call us at (574) 217-8459.

Become a Volunteer!

It’s important that we take time to match your specific gifts with the right volunteer opportunity, so we’ll set up a time to meet so we can learn more about you and your areas of interest.

Our volunteers work with adults and children in various artistic and musical settings. Whether you are a student at a local college, university, grade, junior high or high school, or a member of the community, we want you to become involved.

Bring your interest and talents, and we’ll work with you to find the right fit. There are many ways to volunteer at Adaptive Arts. We look forward to meeting you and hope you will join our team!

joining adaptive arts as a volunteer

Step 01: Register to Volunteer

Fill out the form below to let us know you are interested in volunteering.

Step 02: The Selection Process

Once we receive your registration form a volunteer coordinator will send you a welcome email with instructions. In your account you will need to fill out your profile and select which program you would like to volunteer at.

Step 03: Volunteer Training

Adaptive Arts requires that all new volunteers participate in an intake meeting before they can participate in programs. You will meet with a volunteer who will give you a tour of our facility and discuss the programs that you would like to volunteer in. The intake is also a good time to ask any questions or share any concerns you may have.

Here’s a few words from a few of our volunteers…

“I love volunteering at Adaptive Arts. I get to meet and help some pretty amazing people, while playing music, which I love. It’s the perfect fit for me.”
~Tommy Slott, Eighth Grader, St. Joseph Grade School

“I volunteered as an eight-grader and have remained a volunteer through High School. I play guitar, and love the students at Adaptive Arts. It’s a fun place to volunteer and I have had the opportunity to perform with the students at live performances, and that was fun, too. The teachers and staff are excellent to work with. I am happy to be an Adaptive Arts’ volunteer.”
~ Ian Joyce, Sophomore, St. Joseph High School

we look forward to meeting you and hope you will join our team
